Mouth Friendly Recipe: Pineapple Mango Salsa
We’ve all had traditional salsa, but have you ever had this amazing pineapple mango salsa? These bright, tropical fruits burst with flavor and color. It’s light, refreshing, healthy, tasty and has endless food pairings you can use it with! Try it with fish tacos, grilled chicken, BBQ pork, salmon, or just enjoy it on its own as an appetizer with tortilla chips. Any way you choose, you can’t go wrong. Just follow this easy recipe below:
1 cup freshly chopped pineapple
1 mango, peeled, seeded and chopped
2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1/4 red onion diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
2 tbsp lime juice
salt to taste
sugar to taste (optional)
1. In a bowl, mix together the mango, pineapple, tomatoes, jalapeno, onion and garlic.
2. Add the lime juice, cilantro, salt, and sugar (if using) and stir to mix evenly.
3. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving time.
